Jim Klein

Member at Large

Jim Klein is a landscape architect with expertise and long experience in trail planning and design. He has worked on the planning and design of trails, greenways, parks, and other “long and skinny places” for the last 45 years. He’s been a resident of Hollin Hills for 32 years.

As an FOLHC Board Member, he wants to help implement the Little Hunting Creek Greenway, a proposed natural surface trail with canoe/kayak access as appropriate, and preserve and enhance the riparian areas along Little Hunting Creek. This includes providing input and suggestions to Fairfax County for the stream restoration work along Little Hunting Creek, and coordinating with the FCPA in the development of their upcoming trails master plan and ensuring that appropriately and sustainably designed natural surface trails are an integral part of the properties they manage along Little Hunting Creek.

He is currently the Vice Chair and Mt. Vernon representative of the Fairfax County Trails, Sidewalks and Bikeways Committee.

Join Us!

Friends of Little Hunting Creek is a grassroots, volunteer-led organization that began as a group of genuinely concerned neighbors living near the creek. We need your help to protect this beautiful place – join us today!

Our vision is a beautiful, healthy creek that supports wildlife living in it and along its shores, and provides recreation and respite to humans that live nearby. We envision a shared sense of community responsibility for the health of the Little Hunting Creek watershed and appreciation for its beauty.
